Q&As: 

1. Why only 3 RBs? Because the Cardinals can keep Michael Carter and DeeJay Dallas on the PS, as neither of them will be claimed off waivers. They can be promoted to the active game list when needed.

2. Why 6 WRs? Dortch, Weaver and Fehoko have key STs roles.

3. Why only 9 OL? Cards can stash 3 on the PS. None of whom would be claimed off waivers.

4. Toughest cut: CB Kei'Trel Clark who has been a step too late in coverage thus far. CB Elijah Jones has 6 tackles last night including the strip fumble at the goal-line and he's been very solid in coverage.

5. Super sleeper who is gaining ground: DT P.J. Mustipher who had 6 tackles and 2 TFLs last night.

    If Walter Nolen does end up on the PUP list or go on IR, then maybe that adds in one more roster spot for the defense to add (at least for the first month of the season)

      Same for Hernandez too - I am guessing both start on PUP out 1st 4 weeks. leaving two open roster positions.

    You left off your guys who you project to start on IR/PUP and PS projections....I like to see those in pre-season if for no other reason than it allows us to watch the bubble (players of interest)...

    Here are my guesses...
    IR/PUP: Nichols, Ojulari, Hernandez, Nolen, J Jones

    PS:
    QB: after the 1st two pre-season duds by Tune, it might be time to consider picking up a new QB3.
    RB: Dallas, Carter
    OL: C Jones, Haynesworth
    TE: Vokolek
    WR: Palmer
    DT: Mustipher, Collier
    ED:
    ILB:
    CB: Clark

    1. Add Christian Jones to the roster (pending health), move Josh Fryar to the PS, I believe he has the most guaranteed money of all UFA's, don't think he'd get claimed.
    2. Add DeeJay Dallas to the active roster, coaching staff called him a war daddy, I just don't think he gets released. Too many WR's for this offense, I like your WR room, I just can't figure out who to release from that room to make room for RB4.
    3. After last night's performance, not only do I KNOW Tune will clear the waiver wire, I'm not sure he gets brought back to the practice squad.

    Gotta think Mustipher earned a close look and E Simmons might be in trouble in this battle.
    Simon gonna jump Pappoe on the depth sooner than later.
    Jammie Robinson, led the team in tackles against the Broncos, is making a strong case for a roster spot.
    D Hall shoulda made that interception!

 Was Will Johnson's Red and White Interception Staged? by Walter Mitchell photo thanks to Tyler Drake at Arizona Sports Cardinals' 2nd round pick, CB Will Johnson of Michigan, is off to a fabulous start just 10 days into training camp.  Will Johnson has come to the Cardinals just as advertised. He is a keenly instinctive zone cover corner who reads his man and the QB extremely well, which enables him to jump routes and make timely pass breakups and interceptions.  In man coverage, he lacks the requisite recovery speed to stay sticky on speedy receivers. But that's ok, as long as the coaches match him up with receivers whom he can run stride for stride with.  We have yet to see whether the 2024 concerns about Will Johnson's tackling, which may have been due to injuries.  A Two-Dimensional Plan for the Arizona Cardinals CB Unit It was very tough to hear about Starling Thomas V's season-ending ACL injury on Day 3 of the Arizona Cardinals' training camp.
