The 70-90 Club (Very Good - Elite):

The 60s Club (So-So - Above Average):

* Trey McBride --- 69.4
* Max Melton --- 69.2
* Zaven Collins --- 68.4
* Hjalte Froholdt --- 67.2
* Kyler Murray --- 65.5
* James Conner --- 64.5
* Garrett Williams --- 61.9
* Calais Campbell --- 61.2

Subpar Grades:

* Trey Benson --- 59.6
* Elijah Higgins --- 58.0
* Baron Browning --- 56.1
* Dalvin Tomlinson --- 56.0
* Michael Wison --- 55.6
* Dante Stills --- 55.0 (I am surprised at this one because of the 3 great stops he made)
* Mack Wilson Sr. --- 54.4 (35.9 RDEF, 61.7 COV)
* Greg Dortch --- 53.8
* Tip Reiman --- 53.2
* Zay Jones --- 52.5
* Travis Vokolek --- 50.3
* Evan Brown --- 48.0
* Darius Robinson --- 46.2
* PJ Mustipher --- 45.5
* Isaiah Adams --- 41.6

The Professor's Astute Take:

PFF run blocking grades for the Cardinals starting offensive line: PJJ 55.8 Evan Brown 39.6 Froholdt 69.4 Isaiah Adams 43.1 Jonah Williams 40.2 Conner and Benson had their work cut out for them.

Add these run blocking grades:

* MHJ --- 60.1
* TMB --- 45.6
* Tip --- 49.6
* Higgy --- 62.4
*Vokolek --- 56.4
* Wilson --- 54.0
Zay Jo --- 60.1

It's one game --- but --- we have all been wishing and hoping that new OL coach Justin Frye could pick up where Klayton Adams left off.

Cowboys' Run Blocking versus PHI in Klayton Adams' 1st game as OC/running game coordinator:

* TE Spann-Ford --- 89.9
* C Beebe --- 71.1
* T Steele --- 71.9
* TE Schoonmaker --- 66.0
* G Booker --- 50.9
* T Guyton --- 53.9

The eye test from the get-go versus the Saints was the Cardinals' offensive line was not getting off the ball nearly as physically, quickly or aggressively as they did the past two years under Klayton Adams.

Is it too soon to be concerned?

Comments

  1. "Is it too soon to be concerned?" Absolutely. The starters really didn't play much in pre-season so this was their first full game in a while. That said, some parts of this team looked really good.

  2. I am not overly concerned as it was a single game (1st game for starters all playing together), but it definitely highlights what we saw in-game. Our run game (excluding Kyler & one long gain by Benson) averaged 2.9yd / carry. Brown & Adams had 'rough' days. Good news is Hernandez is a known product if Adams continues to struggle.
