  1. I looked this up just the other day but I have completed different rating and was wondering who you use for the strength of schedule.

I like Warren Sharp for this as it is adjusted after every week and anticipated for remainder. He has the Cardinals as the 3rd most difficult schedule to date and the 5th most difficult remaining. Depending how things play out of course but if it is as most expect, by the end of the year, the Cardinals will have easily played the most difficult schedule in the NFL.

    1. True, NSCard. It's pretty amazing that the Cardinals after being favored in 3 of their first 5 games, since Jacoby Brissett has taken over as QB, despite his impressive passing numbers, the Cardinals have not been favored in any of his 7 games. Look at the opponents during that stretch. They have a combined record of 55-28-2 for a winning percentage of .650. Every one of them is either 1st or 2nd in their divisions.

    2. He has had a tough stretch for sure.

Nobody likes excuses, but having the most injured roster in the NFL and playing the hardest schedule is a bad combo. The strength of the schedule could certainly be playing a roll in the injures that have occurred. Gonna have to get tougher and have a better strength and conditioning/ rehab facility.

  2. Three years into another rebuild, what should be the consequences of losing ever game against division opponents?
At this point, the best thing S McVay can do for his Rams is to keep the next 2 games competitive and close rather than humiliating us, since he and every other division coach get 2 wins from our coaching staff every season.

    1. I don't want this coaching staff to return. I've had my doubts since they came on the scene, have given enough leash to Ossenfort, Gannon, Petzing, Rallis. They have not moved the needle in 3 seasons. I am sick and tired of the excuses. This team as a whole could win a fight to find the their way out of a paper bag, let alone win in NFC West.

I guess I'm just tired of wasted energy and time int o support of this team (I stopped spending money on team awhile back).

    2. You're probably not going to like this but my guess is that after a deep dive and taking into consideration all the factors involved - the answer is likely going to be one more year of status quo.

    3. I agree on status quo NSC and you're right, I don't like it.

    4. It would be absurd to give this staff another year. Kliff Kingsbury won 11 games and a playoff berth in Year 3 and was dismissed after a 4-win season. This would essentially be like granting another year after Kliff's last season, without the 11-win/playoff success behind it.

    5. I agree with likelihood that Bidwill doesn't replace the coaching staff....with more excuses and lies. Yet, staying with status quo is exactly the reason we need a President of Football Operations with no Michael Bidwill leading the decisions of the football club. I realize that is a dream too. We've all been watching this train-wreck for decades.

    6. NSCard and Redrun --- this is where Bidwill's idiotic quid pro quos always get him in trouble. and back him into a corner. Monti, JG and staff can just remind Bidwill that they were trying their best with what he was asking them to do as conditions for taking the job, but that out of fairness he should let them show what they can do with a QB of their choice. All regardless of the fact that in year 3 JG/NR's defense is 32nd in the NFL in tackling and Monti went to great lengths this off-season to upgrade the talent, particularly up front and yet...

Here are the current season-long tackling grades JG.NR's starting front 7 (graded #32, the worst in NFL)

      LOLB Browning - 26.1 -- 2/$15M
      LDE Campbell - 29.2 - 1/$6M
      NY Tomlinson - 31.4 - 2/$29M
      RDE Robinson - 42.3 - 4/13.9M
      ROLB Sweat - 73.8 - 4/$76M

      MLB Wilson - 41.9 - 3/12.8M
      WILB Davis-Gaither - 48.5 - 2/$10M

      Others:
      Zaven Collins - 48.1 - 2/$14M
      B.J Ojulari - 36.5 - 4/$8.5M
      Bilal Nichols --- 3/$21M
      Justin Jones --- 3/$31.2M

This is beyond bad --- this is rock bottom pathetic.

    7. There could be a lot of quid pro quos and conditions or requests involved here.

Did MO and Gannon want MHJ or would they have preferred Alt or Bowers. I can't imagine that they weren't begging MB to give Adams the raise he needed to stay. I am sure they know the strength and rehab facilities aren't up to snuff and I am sure they would have tried to do something about it - to no avail. Think of all the free agents that we heard them connected to only to come up short. NY got Eluemunor by throwing in an extra millon dollars and we had to get Williams. How about Jacobs etc.

There could be a tremendous list of MB getting more involved than he should or not providing resources to build the program how they wanted.

    1. I listed to this Cowherd podcast and did not pick up anything Cardinals' related. Did I miss it?
