What are your main 3 takeaways from the Cardinals' 40-20 loss to the Texans?

Did anyone get my "Landman" references? What a series!

  1. I failed to watch the game, so no game play comments....but it sounds like more of the same...

Coaching is biggest issue (besides owner) of this team. The team has lacked effort in 2nd half of season. It is like they've been told we are tanking!

  2. Thanks for the podcast guys. In their last 3 NFC West games, the D has given up 130 points, an average of 43 points per game. Either this coaching staff is horrible at their jobs or they are tanking with the approval of MB. If it's the latter, they are keeping their jobs and who are they tanking for? As of now, they have the 6th pick and if they're really tanking that could rise.

So the big question for me is, has MO convinced MB to give him and the coaching staff another season and that tanking is the best way to right this ship. I think there is a good chance that this is what's going on here and MO plans to pull off a block buster draft next April 23rd.

    1. Jethro, I have to believe there’s no way Brissett would agree to be part of a tank. This is his opportunity to start and put quality tape out there for his career. McBride, Wilson, and Budda don’t strike me as guys who would participate in a tank either.
That said, the organization’s behavior tells a different story. There’s been almost no resistance to rushing injured players back or, conversely, shelving them when it’s convenient. That said, there does seem to be very little pushback from the franchise when it comes to getting injured players back on the field quickly. In fact, IR appears to be used pretty loosely—and it’s easy to stay there when winning isn’t the priority.

    2. Hey 61, If MO, MB and JG are tanking, I don't believe any players have any direct knowledge of what the 3 of them are doing. Some of the players might have a hunch but MO, MB and JG would never let them in on their plan. If they're tanking, they're doing it through coaching or lack of. Brissett, McBride and Wilson giving 110% effort on offense fits perfect with a tanking plan. You just have to let opponents out score their efforts(43 PPG) which is exactly what they're doing.
