Question:

What three aspects of the Cardinals' handling of GMs, coaches and players would you like to see change?

We will answer this next week and would like to hear your thoughts.

  1. Walter: Thanks for putting this together...

My three things that I would want to change about Bidwill
    (1) Have some integrity with personnel (Front Office, Coaches, and Players) & League (rules).
    (2) Have some Managerial Foresight and gravitas to know what and when to get involved.
    (3) Willingness to Spend the Money necessary for experienced GM, coaches, and players.
    bonus:
    (4) Stay out of personnel (football) moves - let your VP of Football Operations (new hire) manage the football decisions.

  2. Bidwill will never change. Spoiled brat who’s most accomplished thing he has ever done, more than becoming an attorney etc and graduating from ivory towers, is beating his siblings on control over the multiple billion dollar golden goose nfl franchise. The only hope is that the Flores trial brings him down because Goodell won’t make an effort for a change but will just treat this franchise like he did when Al Davis controlled his team, make the Cards irrelevant. 3 things; Hire a proven Football front office guy who has complete control over GM hiring, coaching/player personnel & development and coaching salaries. Look for someone to hire from the Eagles, Ravens or Texans. Mike can stick to marketing and get out of the way. Stop listening to the local sports media who are clueless and just want his access. 3. Treat people, fans and especially employees like gold.

  3. In a nutshell, MB has his hand in everything this team does on a GM level and he's just not very good at it, so it doesn't really matter which YES man he hires next because that guy is not going be allowed to do it his way which is the reason why the best GMs and HCs won't work for this team. Every major discussion about this team always leads back to the owner.

Then I'll get on my knees and pray
    We don't get fooled again
    Don't get fooled again
    No, no

    Yeah
    Meet the new boss
    Same as the old boss

  4. Re the Jacobi Brissett holdout-Its not about money it's about negotiating a trade/release. Brissett has $67 million in career earnings — he's not sitting by the mailbox waiting on another check. This is about getting the hell out of a franchise that has absolutely no idea what it's doing. This is a man trying to escape a rudderless franchise with his dignity intact. And he figured out the fastest way to do that is ask for a raise, because nothing moves Michael Bidwill like a dollar sign.
Can you blame him? The Cardinals spent seven seasons enabling Kyler Murray, handed him $230 million, bent the entire organization around his ego, and watched it blow up in their faces. Now they want a veteran quarterback to quietly absorb that wreckage on a team built to lose?
Free Jacobi. He's too smart for and doesn't deserve this mess.
