Predicting Mike LaFleur's QB Pre-Season QB Rotations

The way Mike LaFleur has been playing his QBs thus far in training camp feels like a plan he has had fro some time about how and when to play his QBs in the Cardinals' 4 pre-season games.

Here's a game-by-game prediction:

Game 1: Cardinals vs Panthers in the Hallof Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, August 6, 8 PM ET

Q1: Gardner Minshew

Q.2 Carson Beck

Q3 Carson Beck 

Q4 Kedon Slovis

Game 2: Cardinals vs. Raiders, August 13, at Las Vegas, 8 PM ET

Q1: Gardner Minshew

Q2: Carson Beck

Q3: Carson Beck

Q4: Kedon Slovis

Game 3: Cardinals vs, Cowboys, August 22, at Glendale, Arizona, 11 PH ET

Q1: Jacoby Brissett

Q2: Jacoby Brissett

Q3: Carson Beck

Q4: Carson Beck

Game 4: Cardinals vs. Packers, August 28, at Green Bay, 8 PM ET

Q1: Gardner Minshew

It works out well that the game 3 "rehearsal game" is the Cardinals' lone pre-season home game. 

Right now, Mike LaFleur, Nathaniel Hackett and Matt Schaub are trying to get the team prepared for the Hall of Fame game, which is a week from Thursday.

I think this is a good plan.

      No reason to believe Jacoby is going to play any snaps yet, and if he does get a contract, I would say it only affects Games 3 or 4 because of the time it would take for him to ramp up into playing shape

    Good news today...
    Impact Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Brissett's new deal will increase his 2026 compensation to $15.5 million guaranteed and up to $21 million with incentives. It ends a stalemate in contract negotiations between the veteran quarterback and the Cardinals that started in mid-April right before the 2026 NFL Draft, which led to Brissett sitting out of OTAs before reporting to mandatory minicamp and training camp. Now that talks have resolved with a restructured contract, Brissett can focus his efforts toward training camp and strengthening his hold on the starting quarterback job, with Gardner Minshew and rookie third-round pick Carson Beck battling for the backup role. Brissett is coming off a career year in 2025, when he completed 64.9 percent of passes for 3,366 yards, 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions across 14 regular-season games (12 starts).

    Now that Brisset is signed I say have him play in 2 pre-season games to develop a rhythm. Mike la Fleur is not the type to half ass it going into Week 1, he is going to want a sharp running offense in good rhythm to Brisset in my guess will play in pre season games 2 and 3.

 A Two-Dimensional Plan for the Arizona Cardinals CB Unit It was very tough to hear about Starling Thomas V's season-ending ACL injury on Day 3 of the Arizona Cardinals' training camp.
