I bet not playing Carson Beck in this game was planned. If they were really concerned about his bruised rib on the first 1st-down he converted at the HOF game, then they would have taken him out then. Beck did not look the least bit limited by the injury. The coaches want to see what the veterans can do tonight, particularly seeing that Klint Kubiak is keen on playing his starters and number 2s.

It's likely the Cardinals' coaches do not want fans to compare what Jacoby does with the 1s to what Carson does with the 3s. They know that already there is a bandwagon for the coaches to start Beck Week 1. The coaches' timetable on Carson Beck, whom they have just started giving reps this week with the 2s, is to move Beck along in developmental stages, just like Klint Kubiak wants to do with Fernando Mendoza, the 2025 Heisman Trophy winner, 2025 National Champion QB and #1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

    Help me out, I missed another pre-season game... Based on what I've read of 1st two games it appears our offense if on-track; While our Defense continues to struggle. That is my takeaway from all I've read of 1st two games. That may also just be media bias toward talking up offense and not giving much attention to defense. I would love to hear about our Defense and where it truly stands - are we going to see a return of Coryell years where we can put up 30-40 pts a game but give up 35-45 per game? Has Rallis grown at all in his scheme, personnel grouping, development (ie tackling), and coverage (DB's used effectively). Our D-line should (on paper) be a strong unit, are they still struggling? I greatly appreciate your giving me the insight I am missing by not watching actual game 'cept highlights.

 A Two-Dimensional Plan for the Arizona Cardinals CB Unit It was very tough to hear about Starling Thomas V's season-ending ACL injury on Day 3 of the Arizona Cardinals' training camp.
