Seumalo and Allgeier are impactful signings. Everyone else is a depth guy or low end starter at best. Cardinals still have ~$40m cap space but there's hardly anyone left worth spending money on. Calais Campbell probably signs for ~$5m if he decides to keep playing.
ReplyDeleteSpending close to the cap floor instead of ceiling and signing mostly depth guys instead of impact players seems like MOs MO at this point.

ReplyDeleteI think your grading is a little high on optimism; only two A- grades for me in Seumalo and Algier; the rest of your A grades I had as B & C grades; your C - grades I had mostly at C- = I realize in todays world a "C" seems like a failed grade, but over-inflated grades do not impart a challenge to get an "A" of excellent. I feel like overall the FA moves get a solid C. I would say any GM could have done just as well as MO - so average.
Spending on CC should be a priority - even @40, he still has more impact on our DL more than either of our 1st round draft picks.
